The aim of this activity is to improve the quality of education and also knowledge for students of the Malay Literature Study Program that they do not get in the lecture material. Apart from that, the aim of the Teaching Practitioner program is also to increase the sense of involvement of the entire academic community in the Malay Literature Study Program in order to build active collaboration and cooperation within it.
FIB USU PR - On Monday 18 December 2023, the Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB) of the Universitas Sumatra Utara (USU) signed a Cooperation Agreement between the FIB USU's Malay Literature Study Program and Akademi Syair Nusantara Malaysia. This activity also coincided with the Practitioner Team Teaching Public Lecture Teaching Berpantun and Syair Courses by Roslan Madun who came from Malaysia. He is the chairman of the Akademi Syair Nusantara Malaysia and also the maestro of Malay pantun and poetry. This activity was attended by the Head of the P2KM&K Subdivision, Mrs. Adry Wiyanni Ridwan, S.S, and the Head of the Malay Literature Study Program, Dra. Mardiah Mawar Kembaren, M.A., Ph. Secretary of Study Program, Lecturer and Student of Malay Literature.
New ideas and innovations are needed to develop a country into a developed country, one of which is forming a free and independent Indonesia with the desired achievements in terms of technology, human resources and even education. Education is the main key in developing and improving the country. Meanwhile, to improve the situation of a country, there needs to be a new policy from the government towards education which is increasingly developing rapidly.
In accordance with the policy of Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka curriculum, it is hoped that this will be the campus' requirement to design and implement innovative learning processes for students so that they can achieve optimal learning outcomes in terms of attitudes, knowledge and skills. One of them is Teaching Practitioner. Teaching practitioners are part of one of the MBKM programs designed by the Ministry of Education and Culture by providing opportunities for universities to assist the learning process in the classroom so that students can enrich their knowledge and self-confidence in practical matters in the world of work. For this reason, collaboration between practitioner lecturers and teaching lecturers is very necessary.
The Malay Literature Study Program, as a part of education that contributes to advancing civilization, is also expected to help the MBKM and Indonesian Education programs, the activities carried out, namely the Practitioner Team Teaching Public Lectures Teaching Berpantun and Syair Courses that are taught by Dra. Mardiah Mawar Kembaren, M.A., Ph.D.
